The Julia Haidlen Memorial Ice Skating Rink is an exciting new addition brought to life by A Small Town Christmas, powered by the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce Foundation, with immense support from the surrounding community.

The rink is open 7-days a week with Mondays and Tuesdays designated for Private Parties (now SOLD OUT). Rink hours are 4:00 - 10:00 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Starting December 26th, we will be open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day.
Sessions are 1-hour with a 30-minute Zamboni break in between. Sessions on days when we open at 4 PM (Wed-Fri, until Dec 26) are 4:00, 5:30, 7:00 and 8:30. Sessions on days when we open at 10 AM (Sat & Sun and then from Dec 26 on) are: 10:00, 11:30, 1:00, 2:30, 4:00, 5:30, 7:00, and 8:30.
We are closed on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for kids 12 & under and include skate rental and a 1-hour session. Tickets are sold on-site only and are first come, first served. “Buddies” (walkers) are available to rent for $10.

Operating 7 days a week from Dec 3, 2025 to Jan 3, 2026 (private parties Mondays & Tuesdays, closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day), this festive attraction draws a large and diverse audience, welcoming visitors from Stanislaus County and beyond.

Small Town Christmas is excited to offer private party reservations at the Julia Haidlen Memorial Ice Skating Rink! With private and public options, we have a party pacakge for every group size and scenario!
Host your group with exclusive access to the rink on Mondays or Tuesdays, or book a party during public skating hours with a reserved party space. Both options include skate rentals and admission for your guests, with additional skaters welcome for an added fee. All bookings require a non-refundable deposit.

Be part of something truly special this holiday season! The Oakdale Chamber Foundation is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated volunteers to help bring the Julia Haidlen Memorial Ice Skating Rink to life as part of A Small Town Christmas.
We’ll be hosting a volunteer meeting to share a variety of opportunities suitable for all ages and abilities - so everyone can get involved in creating a magical experience for our community. Volunteers may help with rink operations, guest assistance, holiday activities, and more.

Santa’s Trading in His Sleigh for a Helicopter
This holiday season, the magic of Christmas takes to the skies as Helius Helicopter Services helps Santa make a grand entrance in Oakdale, as part of the new Ice Rink festivities. Mark your calendars for December 7th, 14th, and 21st (weather pending) and join us when Santa arrives by helicopter on the grassy hill at Oakdale Community Park, between the skate park and Wood Park, just south of Oakdale’s new Ice Rink!
